Dr. Layla Qaabidh, PhD, RN, FNP-BC

Layla currently serves as the Dean of Nursing at Monroe College in New York where she oversees the accreditation process. Prior to her appointment, Dr. Qaabidh was Associate Dean at the Helene Fuld College of Nursing. She had earlier held the position there of Associate Professor and Director of its RN to BS Program. She taught at the College of New Rochelle and Westchester Community College earlier in her career.

Outside the classrooms of academia, Dr. Qaabidh also held nursing administration positions at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and Montefiore Health System, where she no doubt served as mentor and role model to many in (and out of) the nursing profession.
